rock your body

Hey hey...I know it's already Wednesday, but I'm gonna tell you about last week since it was really crazy and tons of fun..

Well last, last weekend my brother was here along with his sorta girlfriend type person and his son, Vincent Joseph who is 3 years old and very adorable. We drove down to Philly on Thursday to pick them up and then we had a great weekend. We went shopping and I got to drive a lot. Then on Sunday we had a little birthday party for Vincent J. and my brother since both of their birthdays had just passed. We invited our neighbors over and then my mom and dad left to take them home. I was bummed because I couldn't go (no room in the car for all of us plus their stuff) but it was all good because two of my neighbors, Mike and Nick hung out for a little. We watched a movie, went on the comp, played Scattergories (the best game!) and ate popcorn and stuff like that.

Monday was the first day of my dad's vacation so we went down to Philly AGAIN and did our usual Philly stuff. We went and got the good Philly pretzels at this great place and then we went on South street and my dad and I ran in Tower records, only the GREATEST record store on the earth, haha. I wanted to get Maroon 5's cd but it was sold out, so I picked up Beyonce's instead (not the best *frown*). I also saw ads for the Justified/Stripped concert that was gonna be on Friday, whooooo!! We also drove around University City for a little because I really wanted to see this one school that I was thinking about going to called The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. I really wanted to see Penn too, but shhhh!!

Tuesday was boring...volunteering and not much else.

On Wednesday we took a ride down to Wildwood around like 6 and got there at 9. I got one of those white shell necklaces for like $3, so that was really cool. I also got a red sleeveless shirt with a little iron-on design that says "Wildwood, NJ". Oh, and I got a ring. I think I'm obsessed with jewelry. Then we just drove around in Wildwood a little before we headed home around 12.

I don't think we really did anything on Thursday...just slept in because I was really tired from staying up until 4 the night before. I have no freakin' clue what we did, lol. Ok, I just asked my mom and she remembered thank God. Chelsie & I went to see American Wedding and it was HILARIOUS!!! I would so go to see it again if I could. Plus, the whole movie was centered around Stifler, who is pretty darn cute!

On Friday I woke up and watched for a little and then Mel called and said she got her schedule. Of course my mail man was late so I didn't get it until a half hour after she called. The packet was huge but I finally found the schedule and it turns our the schedules aren't normal. They're set up really weirdly but me and Mel figured it together and realized that we don't have any classes together which sucks. Then we realized that the schedule doesn't tell you what lunch you have, so we dont even know if we're in the same lunch. I'll probably write more about my schedule later, like after school starts.

Continuing on with Friday...7:30 was the concert w/ Rachel and I was soooo excited. I mean, it didn't really sink in that we were going until we got there. We picked Rachel up at quarter to 5, a little early, because Bruce Springsteen was playing that night too and we figured that traffic would be bad. As it turned out, the traffic wasn't as bad as we thought and it was a nice ride, not many stops. It was at the First Union Center, and let me tell you, that place is REALLY big and REALLY nice. We walked around a little and checked the place out before we found our seats. We found that really quickly and they were not as horrible as I had imagined. The were high up, but on the side/back of the stage so we could see the whole middle and left side of the stage plus everything in the back which was really cool. Anyway, we found our seats and then we went and got sodas. I got really scared though because twice, in the same spot, when we were walking on the very top floor of the building and you could see out that window that you were high, I had that 'falling' feeling. And to make matters worse, before I got used to the fact that we were so high, I got really scared that we were up so high. So the concert started and nobody sat beside us in our row, so we moved over to get a better view.

The Black Eyed Peas came out first and they were pretty good. I only knew the one song, but I guess they were pretty cool. The new girl in the group is really good singer and they did a lot of fast, upbeat songs to get everybody excited. Then there was a little break and Christina Aguilera came out next. I was more excited about her than Rachel was, but Rachel got into it on the songs she knows. I think Christina's best songs were Fighter and Lady Marmalade. It also really seemed like everybody was more into her old stuff, like they knew more of the words. Then there was a long break in which Rachel called her parents to check in, she bought a poster, I bought cotton candy (which I didn't eat, but more about that later), and she got a poster (unfortunately not the shirtless one, boo hoo). Then all of a sudden we could see the lights in the arena go out and everybody started screaming and we practically flew back to our seats, lol. Justin's half of the concert was definitely the BEST. Everybody was standing up and screaming at the top of their lungs. He started out with Rock Your Body and everybody was singing so loud that you could hear the crow louder than Justin. It was so exciting and we screamed so loud. We stood the whole time, except when he did some slower songs that we didn't really know. Rachel had a camera w/ 15 pics on it and I think we took 5 of Christina (which we should've saved) and 10 of Justin, which just wasn't enough. All in all, it was a great performance by Justin and I cannot WAIT until he does another concert next summer, hopefully by himself. He ROCKS. Never did eat that damn cotton candy...

Ok, I am just realizing that this isn't all going to fit in one post, but I'll think of something. On Saturday we left around 5:00 to go to NYC!!! I love it there and I couldn't wait to go. My mom's friend and neighbor came with us and we had a good time. It rained the whole time though, but I kept my window opened anyway. We went to Ground Zero and it was really sad even though I've been there before. Maybe because it was much quieter, it was raining, and it was dark. My mom's friend and I also walked around a little while my dad got the car and we found this awesome store called Ricky's which I sooooooo wanna go back to. It was in the village near this great pizza place we go to and I swear the store was like created for me. It had every kind of make-up, nail polish, flip flops, hair products that you could think of. It also had some crazy stuff like hot pink and purple wigs. Hey, it's New York!! Then we drove arond Times Square and showed my mom's friend some of the sights. She was in awe and she couldn't believe what she was seeing. My dad says that we might go down again in October like we usually do but haven't for the past 2 years. Only I was lucky enough to go w/ my friends in December of '02. I'm hoping that I'll be able to go in October AND December this year. That would be great.

Well that is the end of my crazy week. If you actually read all of it, I think you're a little nuts or your a LOT bored, haha. I'm gonna try to make this fit in one, but I doubt it will. Hope all of your lives are as "exciting" as mine!

Smooches, *Me*

Congrats

If you're made it this far, then you're worthy of being my friend. The end.
