bad luck ends with a 'lucky' seven

OMG...it's been soooo long since I've written. Wow! The 5th of December, over a month ago. So much has happened in the past month, mostly bad though.

Well this was a long time ago but I finally had to do my lyrics on December 15 and I was so freaking nervous cuz I knew that nobody cared and nobody did. They just talked and talked and when I asked if anybody knew what they meant, everybody just sat there and stared at me like I was some kind of alien. I was pissed and so was the teacher so she just yelled at them and stuff and that made me feel better. Oh, and during the middle of my presentation the phone rang, just remember that.

Then the next week I get picked as the spotlight. That actually went well. People were actually interested in my life and stuff. Maybe that's my whole problem... I'm just too damn shy. Oh well, they'll have to deal with it. Everybody was looking at the pictures and stuff so I guess that was good. Oh, and during the middle of my presentation AGAIN the phone rings and everybody is like "Oooohhh, that's the second time!!!!" Oh yeah this too...if you're the spotlight then everybody in the class writes you notes that week. I got some pretty interesting ones actually, well not really but it makes me feel better to say that. Out of the 17 notes I got, 9 of them said that I "seemed nice". WEll ok...tell me if you can catch the pattern...

These are the notes that say something about me being "nice" (even from the teacher!):

Dear Jessica,
You are one of the nicest girls that I have this semester and also one of the best students. You will be a wonderful adult in the future. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful holiday season.

Mrs. Means

Jess,
Hey Jess, how are you? We've had a couple classes together over the years. You are a really nice girl and I'm glad I got the chance to know you better. You're also really smart too! Well, good luck over the next couple of years and I know I'll be seeing you a lot. Stay cool and REALLY nice!

Tasha

Jess,
Hey! I remember all those times in our 8th grade homework or I mean homeroom sorry! Yeah those were great times! It's good to have you in my english class again this year. You're a really nice girl. Stay that way!

Hi! How are you? I don't know you that well but you seem like a very nice person. I hope to get to know you more when you have your spotlight.

From, Holly

Dear Jess,
You are a nice kind person. You are also adorable...

COMMENT BY ME: Ok, that's this one kid Zach who everybody pretends they like and then make fun of him behind his back....anyway, he likes practically every girl that goes to the school so I didn't pay much attention to his note, lol.

Dear Jess,
I don't really know you too well but you seem like a really nice person. Good luck w/ your spotlight, it's not that bad!

Jessica,
Hey babe!!! It is me Laura. Well, you seem like a really nice person. Good luck on all the speeches. Don't worry you will do good. Maybe. If you want you can come to my party in the summer. Give me a holla. ***-**** (I WON'T GIVE OUT HER NUMBER LOL) UR Great.

Love ya, Laura

Ok, those were the ones that mentioned me being a nice girl, yeah ok. After reading these I've come to the conclusion that the only reason nobody likes me/talks to me is because they don't know me cuz I don't say much, except w/ my friends.

Next, the letters that are normal, sorta...

Dear Jess,
Good luck on your spotlight this wekk and luck this year in school.

Jimmy

Dear Jess,
Have fun on your spotlight!!!

Matt

Jess,
Hey, I loved the song you did for lyrics as poetry! Good job. Good luck in everything you do. Keep your head up.

Dale

Jess,
Your a really cool kid and good friend. You are trustworth and some that is easy to get along with.

Joe

Ok, don't ask me about that last one, it doesn't make sense. Well there are my classmates for ya. Some of them are missing cuz we were on an FBLA field trip that day, oh well!

Anway, I think I was talkin about..ok I remember. Then the next week after the spotlight, we are assigned the Persuasive speech that I'd been dreading. When that rolls around I am picked to go the first day, last person which is fine with me. I go up there and before I begin everybody is like "Jess, you'll do fine!" and stuff like that and I think that actually helped considering the people could probably care less. So I do my speech and I am almost finished when guess what happens? Yep, you got it...the freaking PHONE RINGS in the middle of my speech for the THIRD time!!! Everybody is like all oohing and aahing. So I had to go back a little and do like 2 seconds over...not bad.

Rachel did her speech today and does her spotlight on Thursday and her mom practically wrote the paper for her, so naturally the speech was good. Everybody was calling her a genius and stuff and saying how smart she is. Oh well, let her get shine in the spotlight...literally on Thursday, hehe. I am corny. Anyway, all her notes were nice. Oh, and rememer that TC character? Well the note from him was pretty darn nice. He said she was cool, smart, and nice and he KNOWS THAT SHE'S IN BAND and was wondering if she is going on the trip to Florida in the summer...hmmmm...she is still trying to figure out if he wants her to actually answer that or if he was just asking that to be nice, who knows? I told her to answer him, to just say "So you're goin to Florida? That's cool, so am I!" in her little cheery voice.

Oh, I forgot another thing. After 3rd period was over on the day of my speech we went to Media class and Mr. V gave us numbers to go into partners. I got number 7 so automatically I say,

"YES!! Lucky seven baby!" Rachel laughed and Amy laughed and then Mr. V said "Go find your partner." Well after that everybody started yellin out their number and who yells out number 7? Yes, that kid, the one that I talk about all the time. I thought I had gotten over him with the whole lyrics incident...about him and all these other people talking while I was giving my presentation and then Mrs. Means yellin at them, but I guess I'm not. Blah, yeah well I had to work with him and of course he was acting all retarded and stuff and talking to Rachel, only God knows why. Maybe he thinks it'll make me jealous or something? Who knows. Oh well, oh and in her spotlight note from him he says all this nice stuff like "You've got a lot going for you" What the hell?

Well I gotta go now, this is loooong, hope you've enjoyed reading about my life and thanks for coming along for the ride!

Smooches, *Me*

Congrats

If you're made it this far, then you're worthy of being my friend. The end.
