junior year...only one more left!

Whoo...it's already Friday!! I haven't written since last Saturday...the week just flew by. I have some updates on my first week of school so I think I'll get right down to business.

Monday was the first day of my junior year, yay! Of course, I was excited and I couldn't fall asleep on Sunday night. Even though I went to bed around 9-ish, I only feel asleep around 11:15 and only woke up once after that. Nonetheless, I wasn't even tired when I woke up even after only sleeping for like 6 hours. So I went to school with my *new* sneakers and all that good stuff and all in all it was a pretty good day. I have four classes and I guess I'll tell you a little about each one...I'm probably gonna talk about what happened throughout the whole week rather than just Monday because you'd be here all day reading about my week.

The first class I have in the morning is Chemistry with Mrs. Peters. My only friend friend (if that makes sense) is Kim, but there are a few other people that I talk to. I had heard so many horrible things about Mrs. Peters, she's actually rather nice. The only thing bad about this class is that we have homework every night. Seriously, EVERY night.

Next is Honors American Lit with Mr. Axe. Axe couldn't be there Tuesday or Wednesday because he and his wife just had a baby so for those two days we didn't do much. It seems like a really interesting class and I hope it's fun because since that's what it appears to be. Sarah, Kim, Jen, and Amy are all in it with me which is a plus, except Sarah and Jen sit beside each other and Kim and Amy sit beside each other while I'm just in the middle somewhere, haha. Oh, and there are only 5 boys in it, blah...hehe.

Next is Precalc..grrrr. Sarah and Audrey are in this one with me and we were all lost for about the first two days of school. It was like we came in and he gave us homework right away and nobody knew how to do it. But I think our class is gettin better with the whole comprehension aspect of it, and I think we're good. Only thing I'm worried about is the tests and quizzes. I constantly need the book in front of me when I do my homework so I can check all the formulas and precedures, but I won't have them for any tests because we can't use our books, just notes. Oh well...

Next is lunch with Sarah, Amy, Audrey, & Rebecca and a few others I don't really know. I'm in the last lunch and it's all freshmen and it sucks.

Last is Health which is the only class that I didn't know if I would have a friend in it or not. But it turns out that Mariya is with me and we do a lot of partner thingers so we get to work together. That class is pretty funny, especially some of the people in it, haha. I always look forward to it. But at the end of October we switch to gym and that is going to suck because there isn't really anybody in there that's going to run the mile with me...Mariya isn't a "non-athletic" person and there isn't anyone else in there that is technically my friend. Maybe I'll just be absent on those days...

Well that was my week. We have a 4-day weekend so that's pretty neato. Tonight was the big Cocalico/Ephrata football game...Ephrata's our 'rival' school in case ya didn't know. It was fun except for the fact that none of my non-bandie friends were there except Amber but I didn't see her until the very end and then I lost her in the crowd and I never found her. Anyway we got crushed...31-7 but I'm betting that the team will get yelled at and practice harder and will win every other game yay! Hehe, that's just my opinion.

Not really doin much tomorrow unless somebody asks me to. I'll probably just hang around at home and do my homework. Sunday is the "August Birthdays" at my cousin's house and I'm really excited about that because we're taking my two nephews, Vinny & Andrew with us. I haven't seen Andrew in awhile and I can't wait!! Plus we get to go swimming one last time before it gets too cold...unless it rains. Monday we're off from school and Melissa, Sam, possibly Rachel, and I are planning on hittin the mall.

That's about it for the past week. I'll try to write maybe Sunday night after the party or something because tomorrow I'm gonna try to stay off the comp until the HW's done. Peace!!
